Raising of the tourniquet

Rectus muscles

Madhyama Nauli – the manifestation (raising) of the rectus abdominis muscles outward, or as they are also called, the rising of the tourniquet.

The rectus abdominis muscles start from the costal cartilages of the chest in front and are attached to the pubic bone. They bend and tilt the body forward, and with a fixed chest, raise the front edge of the pelvis up.

This technique must be mastered in order to move on to Nauli. Because in the Nauli technique, we need to be able to bring out the rectus abdominis muscles and perform rotational movements with them clockwise and counterclockwise.

The Madhyana Nauli technique helps to strengthen the abdominal muscles and improve the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, Madhyana Nauli improves blood circulation in the abdomen, which has a beneficial effect on the organs and systems located in this area of the body. As with any other yoga practice, Madhyana Nauli requires regular practice to be successful. You also need to monitor your breathing and tune in to maximum concentration and attention to your body.

Contraindications: the presence of a hernia of the abdomen, pregnancy, early postpartum rehabilitation, operations in the abdomen, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, problems with the back and cardiovascular system.

Do all exercises in your comfort zone. If you have acute pain, then there is no need to do this
